Devisoft Technologies PVT LTD (“Devisoft”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operating the brand Devi Techno Solutions at https://devitechnosolutions.com, is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have.

1. Scope — the services this policy covers

This policy applies to:

  • VPocket — our mobile app/extension for the vtiger CRM.
  • SmartInbox / WhatsApp Business messaging — our integration that lets businesses send and receive messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
  • Lead capture from advertising — leads generated through our advertisements on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and other channels.
  • Our website and any enquiries you send us.

2. Information we collect

a. VPocket (CRM extension) users. When you sign in to VPocket you provide the URL of your own vtiger CRM instance together with your vtiger username and password. This is used only to connect you to your own server. We do not store your CRM record data on our servers; it is transmitted directly between your device and your vtiger instance. A local cache may be held on your device and is cleared automatically when you log out or uninstall the app.

b. WhatsApp Business messaging. When an end user messages a business that uses our SmartInbox integration, we process, on that business’s behalf, the end user’s WhatsApp phone number, WhatsApp profile name, message content, and any media or files they send, together with message delivery and read status. This data is obtained through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta and is used solely to deliver, display, and respond to those conversations and to provide support.

c. Leads from advertising (Meta Lead Ads and similar). When you submit a lead form on one of our advertisements on Facebook or Instagram, Meta provides us with the information you entered — typically your name, email address, phone number, and your answers to the form questions. We retrieve this through Meta’s Lead Ads API and store it in our CRM to contact you about the product or service you expressed interest in. You provided this information and consented to be contacted when you submitted the form.

d. Direct contact. When you contact us directly we collect your name, email address, organisation, and the contents of your message.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and support the VPocket and SmartInbox services you have requested.
  • To send and receive WhatsApp messages on behalf of the businesses using our platform.
  • To respond to leads and enquiries about our products and services.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We process this data on the legal bases of performance of a contract (delivering the service you asked for), your consent (e.g. submitting a lead form or messaging us), and our legitimate interest in operating and supporting our services. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated profiling unrelated to the services described here.

4. Meta / WhatsApp Platform Data

We access and process data from the Meta and WhatsApp Business Platforms only to provide the functionality described above. We comply with Meta’s Platform Terms, Developer Policies, and the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy. We do not use data obtained through these platforms for advertising, to build user profiles unrelated to the service, or for any purpose other than delivering the messaging and lead‑management features our customers have asked for, and we retain it only as long as needed for those purposes.

5. How we share information and sub‑processors

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only:

  • with the business customer on whose behalf we process WhatsApp conversations and leads;
  • with infrastructure and service providers who process data on our behalf under contract, including our hosting provider A2 Hosting LLC (hosting.com), United States, and, where applicable, a payment processor;
  • with Meta Platforms, as the provider of the WhatsApp Business Platform and Lead Ads, to the extent required to deliver the service;
  • where required by law — for example in response to a valid legal request from a public authority, after reviewing its legality and disclosing only the minimum information necessary.

6. Where data is stored, and how long we keep it

Personal data is stored on secured servers hosted with A2 Hosting LLC (hosting.com), located in the United States. We retain data only for as long as needed to provide the service or to meet legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. WhatsApp message data and lead data are retained for 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

7. Security

We protect data in transit using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Where you connect VPocket to a vtiger instance over plain HTTP, that connection is not encrypted and we recommend always using HTTPS. We apply access controls and other reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

8. Your rights and choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or opt out of further contact at any time. To do so, write to support@devitechnosolutions.com. We will action verified requests — including permanently deleting your data and related correspondence — within 30 days. Depending on your location you may also have rights under the GDPR or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

9. Children

Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected such data, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
